Explore LaDue Reservoir
2 - 4 Hour Lake Paddle
About
From the SR44 boat launch you can head west to explore Bridge Creek, the primary tributary that creates LaDue Reservoir, or head east into the main lake. Paddle the shoreline and look for wildlife and wild flowers. Open your senses and enjoy a relaxing paddle. Keep track of your time so that you can make it back to your starting point at a pre-arranged time that you determine when you put in.
Highlights
This trip is a departure from our normal river trips, There are miles of shoreline to explore around LaDue Reservoir, one of the main bodies of water maintained by the City of Akron as for public drinking water. Bald eagles nest here. Fishing is good for walleye, largemouth bass, bluegill, yellow perch, white and black crappie, and channel catfish. You can get lost (not really) exploring the many inlets and coves that make up LaDue's shoreline.
