For those who are ready to spend a day on the river, this is the trip. We transport you 7 miles upriver to our put-in at US-422. The half-way point is our base where you will find picnic tables, pavilions, and restroom facilities. Another five miles will bring you to then end of your trip at our take-out in Mantua Village. You will get to experience two very different sections of river. The river makes is way through marshes and low-lying woodland for the first 5 miles or so. About 1.5 miles above Camp Hi the river leaves the marshes behind and its channel begins to narrow, The section of river below Camp Hi is more wooded, with sand and gravel bottom and slightly more current.
Timing for pick-up is arranged when you check in at the start of your trip.
