Celebrate your child’s birthday in a truly memorable way with Birthday on the Rails, an all‑inclusive birthday party experience aboard a private railcar at Woodstown Central Railroad. Designed to be easy, fun, and stress‑free, this experience allows families to relax while we handle the details.

What to Expect

Your celebration takes place aboard our Deluxe Table Car “Mineral Springs,” reserved exclusively for your group. Birthday party packages are available on all publicly listed train departures.

Depending on your selected departure, your total experience time includes:

Swedesboro Local Route: A 1‑hour roundtrip train ride, plus approximately 15 minutes for boarding before departure and 15 minutes available upon return to the station (about 1.5 hours total).

Mannington Limited Route: A 1 hour and 15-minute roundtrip train ride, plus approximately 15 minutes for boarding before departure and 15 minutes available upon return to the station (about 1 hour and 45 minutes total).

Guests are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time to allow plenty of time for check‑in and boarding. A dedicated meeting area under the pavilion will be reserved for your group both before and after the train ride. Your party host will greet you here and assist with boarding the train.

With the Premium Package, all setup and cleanup are handled for you, allowing your entire time to be spent enjoying the celebration.

Food & Beverage Experience

Pizza Service

Pizza is served shortly after departure. Pizza quantities are based on your guest count:

Up to 24 guests: 4 large pizzas Up to 32 guests: 5 large pizzas Up to 40 guests: 6 large pizzas

Pizza choices include plain cheese or white pizza. Each party includes individual packets of parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, oregano, and garlic.

Optional pizza toppings are available for an additional charge.

Cake Service

A half‑sheet cake is included with your party. Cake flavor options include vanilla or chocolate, Cake design coordinates with your selected theme or colors. Please provide the celebrant’s name if you would like it written on the cake. Cake is served after the halfway point of the ride, on the return trip to the station.

Drink Options

Coca‑Cola, Coca‑Cola Zero Sugar, Sprite, Brisk Iced Tea, Water

Please let us know in advance if any guests have dietary restrictions or allergies. While we do our best to accommodate requests, substitutions may be limited.

Important Information & Safety Notes

The station opens 1 hour before the first scheduled departure and closes 1 hour after the last train arrives. Guests should not plan to arrive earlier or remain on property outside of these times.

Birthday parties are available for all ages.

Please be aware that the train does move and may rock while in motion. Guests with limited mobility may find it difficult to move around during travel.

The train whistle sounds at each crossing, and loud noises should be expected.

A party host is provided to assist with setup, cleanup, food service, and coordination. Adult supervision of children remains the responsibility of parents or guardians.

Woodstown Central Railroad offers plenty of free onsite parking.

Photos may be taken during the event for promotional use. Please notify us in writing if you prefer to opt out.

Parents are welcome to bring party favors.

Decoration restrictions apply: confetti, glitter, sequins, silly string, glue, and staples are not permitted.

Booking & Planning Notes

Guest count must be finalized one week prior to departure. Food, decorations, and staffing are prepared based on this confirmed number. There are no refunds for guests who do not attend. Birthday on the Rails is thoughtfully designed to combine the charm of train travel with the simplicity of an all‑inclusive party—so families can focus on celebrating, making memories, and enjoying the ride.
