Auburn Road Special
Rare Mileage Excursions on the Finger Lakes Railway
About
The Auburn Road Special is a one-weekend-only, rare mileage rail excursion along the eastern portion of the Finger Lakes Railway. The train will depart Waterloo, NY and travel through Seneca Falls, across Cayuga Lake, through Auburn, traverse the former Auburn & Syracuse Railroad, one of the earliest railroads in New York State and one which has not seen public passenger service since the 1950s.
Passengers will travel on this former New York Central route aboard one of three authentic New York Central lounge cars, complete with first class service one would expect along the “Water Level Route.” Passengers will enjoy food and beverage on the eastbound leg of the trip. On the return, the train will make two stops: one for a photo run-by and tour of the station in Martisco, NY, and a second for a photo stop alongside Lake Cayuga. This can’t-miss opportunity will only be available for one weekend only, prior to the start of the second operating season of the Finger Lakes Rail Experience!
Cancellation
Like sporting events, concerts, and other live events, tickets for URHS events are not refundable. However, tickets can be transferred to other passengers up to 24 hours before departure. In the event that a departure is cancelled, passengers will receive a full refund.
