Step your toes into the sand and learn to be safe and have fun at the beach. Ocean Lifeguards and instructors provide insight into reading the ocean and the ever-changing beach environment. Develop an appreciation and knowledge of NJ’s 130 miles of seashore for your students with this practical and fun trip to the beach.

Please note: In-water surfing class can be added to your Field Trip for an additional cost.

>#Introduction to Surf & Earth Science - Swell - Wind - Tide

>#What a Shell Can Tell - Students will learn all about local seashells - Each student will “make and take” a seashell collection and enjoy grade level appropriate learning activities. A shell craft can be included upon advance request (time permitting)

>#Activities - Toes in the sand & ocean - Beach Scavenger Hunt - Jetty to jetty educational guided walk - Shade tent utilized for bagged lunch

In-water experiences are available for schools that qualify and opt-in

>#Pricing: - Up to 20 Students: $500 beach (+$500 for in-water surf class) - Up to 40 Students: $900 (+$900 for in-water surf class) - Up to 60 Students: $1000 (+$1400 for in-water surf class) - Over 60 students – please inquire
