About
This 1.5-hour historical Kayak Tour, sponsored by the Hudson County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, offers spectacular views of the New York City Skyline plus intriguing and little-known details about the history of the Hoboken Waterfront. No prior experience is necessary to join this kayak tour. Robert Foster, Executive Director of the Hoboken Historical Museum will be sharing stories and points of interest during the journey. A certified Kayak Guide will provide instruction. The group will practice paddling skills in a protected embayment and then the guide will lead the group out onto the river.
The tour follows the American Canoe Association curriculum and industry standards for risk management. The “challenge by choice” model will be used to ensure comfort while allowing each person to participate at his or her own level and develop skills at his or her own speed.
During this 1.5-hour kayak tour you can expect to see incredible views of the Manhattan Skyline and learn fascinating details about the Hoboken Waterfront.
