>Kayaking or canoeing the Mullica River is a true backcountry adventure. You’ll thread through tight cedar‑lined channels, twist with the river’s turns, and burst into wide, lily‑fringed stretches alive with color. The silence out here is wild and complete—broken only by the buzz of the forest. From the launch below Atsion Lake, it’s a four hour paddle to the wilderness camp. After a night deep in the pines, you’ll continue another three to four hours to Pleasant Mills, where Pinelands Adventures meets you at the take‑out. Since the campsite is accessible only by water, every paddler must bring in all their own gear.
