Led by knowledgeable historical interpreters, the tour examines terrain, troop movements, and key moments that shaped the outcome of the battle. Guests should expect sustained walking over uneven ground. The program begins promptly at 1:00 PM and concludes with a guided tour of the historic Thomas Clarke House.

Highlights

This extended walking tour offers the most complete way to experience the Battle of Princeton, covering areas not seen on shorter programs and revealing how the battlefield’s geography influenced the fighting.

Guests will traverse the full length of the battlefield, gaining a clearer understanding of troop movements, decision-making under pressure, and how events unfolded in real time on January 3, 1777.

Led by expert historical interpreters, the tour connects strategy, landscape, and lived experience, helping visitors visualize the battle as more than a single moment—but as a dynamic sequence across space and time.

Because this program involves sustained walking, participants are encouraged to wear comfortable footwear and dress for the weather. Free water is available.

All programs conclude with a guided tour of the historic Thomas Clarke House, providing an opportunity to step inside a structure that stood at the heart of the battle.
