Black Powder, White Smoke explores the weapons that defined warfare during the American Revolution, with a special focus on Revolutionary War flintlocks. Led by knowledgeable historical interpreter Tom Kane, this program examines how flintlocks functioned, how they were maintained in the field, and why their limitations shaped battlefield tactics and outcomes. Guests will gain a deeper understanding of 18th-century military life and technology, followed by an introductory overview of the Battle of Princeton. The program begins promptly at 1:00 PM and concludes with a guided tour of the historic Thomas Clarke House.
