Learn the basics of outdoor rock climbing with professional guides! This is our most popular course and participants always come back for more! You must be 8 years of age or older to participate in this course.
The day starts on the ground discussing basic climbing gear, movement on the rock/climbing techniques, balance and body positioning. The 2nd part of the day you'll be climbing on cliffs of various heights and rock types putting together what you learned. Then we move on to belaying, gear overview, safety, climbing knots and much more!
Rates $105.00 per person
Cancellation
Cancellation/reschedule: Cancellation MUST be done 14 days in advance for a refund. No refunds are issued for private group trips but will be held as credit or rescheduling. A $20 admin fee will apply to reschedule. Weather will be checked 10-12 hours pretrip, if 80% chance of rain or high daily temps below 40 degrees the trip will be rescheduled. In the event of a weather cancellation our office or your guide will contact you. Do NOT assume a trip/course is cancelled unless you hear from our office or your guide.

n- clients showing up late and not able to participate
n- clients showing up and choosing to not participate
n- not showing up due to various issues like directions, vehicle/transportation issues, etc. If you have vehicle or direction troubles you can call the office to reschedule
n- weather cancellations
We, Stay Rad Climbing Guides, are NOT responsible for car rental fees, hotels fees, and/or any associated travel fees due to a cancellation. We recommend getting trip insurance when booking those accommodations in the event a cancellation for inclement weather comes up.
