Backcountry Water Safety
During this 3 day/24 hour course you'll learn all of the skills neccessary to respond to any water related event in a lake, river, or similar environment. As a guide, you should be able to respond to any issue that may come about while traveling in the backcountry with clients. Lifeguarding, swiftwater rescue and various other rescue skills are taught during this course.
Prerequisites: CPR/AED Basic First Aid 18 years of age or older
$250 per person
Cancellation
Cancellation/reschedule: Cancellation MUST be done 14 days in advance for a refund. No refunds are issued for private group trips but will be held for credit or rescheduling. A $20 admin fee will apply to reschedule. This is a classroom/indoor course, so weather will not cancel this course unless travel to the course location is hindered in anyway. In the event of a weather cancellation our office or your guide will contact you. Do NOT assume a trip/course is cancelled unless you hear from our office or your guide.
Refunds are NOT issued for
- no-shows
- clients showing up late and not able to participate
- clients showing up and choosing to not participate
- not showing up due to various issues like directions, vehicle/transportation issues, etc. If you have vehicle or direction troubles you can call the office to reschedule
- weather cancellations
We are NOT responsible for car rental fees, hotels fees, and/or any associated travel fees due to a cancellation. We recommend getting trip insurance when booking those accommodations in the event a cancellation for inclement weather comes up.
