Intro to Wilderness Search & Rescue

During this 3 day/24 hour course you'll learn all of the basics of the Wilderness Search & Rescue industry. This course is for anyone interested in volunteering or starting a career as SAR personnel. You'll learn common navigations practices used in SAR, human tracking, Class III rope skills, search management, wilderness survival, campcraft, equipment selection/use, patient packaging and much more!

Cost Per Person: $425
Course Length: 3 days (2 evening zoom sessions and 2 field days)
What's Included: All group gear is included: technical gear, tents, cooking equipment, water filtering/purifying equipment, maps, helmet, harness.
Our instructors have over 25 years of experience in the Mountain Rescue and Search & Rescue industries and are full-time professionals in this field.
Cancellation
Cancellation/reschedule: Cancellation MUST be done 7 days in advance. A $20 admin fee will apply to reschedule.Weather will be checked 10-12 hours pretrip, this isa rain or shine course so be prepared for varying weather condiitons. In the event of a weather cancellation our office or your guide will contact you. Do NOT assume a trip/course is cancelled unless you hear from our office or your guide.
nRefunds are NOT issued for

n- clients showing up late and not able to participate
n- clients showing up and choosing to not participate
n- not showing up due to various issues like directions, vehicle/transportation issues, etc. If you have vehicle or direction troubles you can call the office to reschedule
