The White Hill Mansion has a rich 300+ year history as it was originally built around 1723. Nestled on the banks of the Delaware River, it was the original home of Robert Fields, for which the town of Fieldsboro was named. Mr. Fields had an untimely death by drowning in the river years later. This mansion was a Lenape Winter settlement and over 20,000 artifacts were found during an archaeological dig on the grounds. This location also played a role in the Revolutionary War. In the early 1920's the mansions basement was a speakeasy during prohibition era with mob ties. It served as a German restaurant until the 1990's as well. Currently, the mansion serves as a historic museum undergoing a long term restoration, and money from this event goes to the Friends of White Hill to help the preservation on this grand mansion.
Haunted history includes numerous confirmed deaths in the house, shadow figures, apparitions of a children inside the house, a shadow creature on the third floor, Native Indian figures on the grounds, EVP’s and disembodied voices, footsteps, as well as ITC equipment going off on command. We have personally experienced equipment going off on command for a length of time, footsteps coming up the stairs as well as across the floor, ghostly whistling, shadows, and disembodied voices and EVP’s captured. White Hill has been featured on Ghost Hunters, Paranormal Lockdown, Katrina Weidman's Travel the Dead YouTube, Amy Bruni's Haunted Road Podcast and most recently on Jason Hawes YouTube channel. Not to mention countless other paranormal podcasts and YouTube channels.
