Private Surf Lesson

In a private surf lesson, your surfer(s) will be in your own private area and work with only your dedicated instructor(s). Private lessons do not intermingle with the group lessons and typically surf next to the group surf area, rather than mixed in with the other surfers. We recommend private lessons for ages 8 thru 10, anyone who needs extra help in the water, would prefer a more intimate setting, and/or needs more one-on-one time.

Surf lessons take place at The Cove Beach in Cape May and are held in a small group setting. The surf instructors at EcoVentures will spend personalized time with your group so you become comfortable and confident in the water.

Besides learning about the basics of surfing, our CPR and First Aid Certified instructors will teach participants all about ocean safety including how to avoid rip currents, using the tides and waves to your advantage, and how to safely make it past the breaking waves. Our award winning surf school is run in conjunction with our sister company, Southend Surf Shop, and we use multiple certified instructors at every lesson to make sure you get more waves and the personalized attention you expect. You do not need to provide your own surfboard. EcoVentures will provide soft-top surfboards that provide excellent stability and protection when learning to surf!
