About

Step aboard the historic A.J. Meerwald, a 115-foot oyster schooner built in 1928, and experience life on the water as it was nearly a century ago.

Enjoy a scenic sail along the Cape May coastline while indulging in freshly shucked local oysters on the half shell.

This specialty sail offers a hands-on sailing experience, where guests can assist the crew with light sailing tasks or simply relax and take in the views while enjoying oysters fresh from the Delaware Bay.

Guests are invited to join in by helping haul lines or hoist sails alongside our crew, or sit back and enjoy the fresh air, food, and views.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Delaware River and Bay Authority for their support. Special thanks to our Cape May Port Sponsors Whale’s Tale & Splash Gallery and Jason Vail Family Foundation.

If you’re visiting Washington Street Mall, be sure to stop by their shops: Whale’s Tale: 312 Washington Street Mall Splash Gallery: 512 Carpenter’s Lane
