Delaware Bayshore Sail - Port Norris, NJ
2 Hour Sail • Scenic Bayshore Experience • Hands-On Sailing Adventure
About
Step aboard the historic A.J. Meerwald, a 115-foot oyster schooner built in 1928, and experience life on the water as it was nearly a century ago.
Sail along the scenic Maurice River, one of only four rivers in New Jersey designated as part of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. Take in peaceful views of marshlands, wildlife, and the natural beauty of this unique waterway.
This Delaware Bay sail offers hands-on opportunities such as trawling and sail hoisting, where guests can engage directly with the crew and learn about the region’s maritime history and ecology.
Whether you choose to participate or simply relax, enjoy the fresh air, scenic views, and the unique experience of sailing aboard one of the last oyster schooners of its kind.
A ticket purchase also includes a free self-guided tour of the Delaware Bay Museum. Please allow 45 minutes or more to have time to see all of the exhibits!
