About

This Backcountry trip starts in Girdwood, Alaska, Home to Alyeska Resort.

If heading to Turnagain Pass, the drive is approximately 30 minutes, 1 Hour South to Summitt Pass, and 2 Hours North if going to Hatcher's Pass in the Talkeetna Mountains.

There are many different tour locations in the Pass, and your guide will choose a location that maximizes your ski day based on the weather, your skiing abilities, and the avalanche forecast.

Snow quality, weather forecasts, and avalanche forecasts will be utilized to determine where to go.

A full-day tour is normally more than one run in the backcountry for most skiers & snowboarders. Ski & Mountain conditions ultimately determine where your guide chooses to go.

If you aim to ski steeper or more challenging terrain, our guides strongly recommend that your group skis with us for more than 1 day. Although more than 1 day does not guarantee steeper lines, the conditions do.
