The Denali Backcountry Snowmobile Adventure starts at our Willow Headquarters, just one hour north of Anchorage. After checking in at 9:00 a.m., you’ll meet your guides, get fitted with winter riding gear, and load into our van for a two-hour drive to the Denali Highway trailhead. Once there, you’ll go through a short safety briefing and begin your 70-mile ride into the Alaska Range.

The route takes you through wide valleys carved by ancient glaciers, surrounded by towering peaks and endless snow. Along the way, we stop to take in the views, snap photos, and look for wildlife like moose and caribou. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at Alpine Creek Lodge, your home for the night. Settle in with a hot meal, relax by the fire, and, if conditions are right, step outside for a chance to see the Northern Lights.

Day two offers a 60-mile round trip deeper into the Alaska Range, where you’ll ride through open powder fields, experience thrilling backcountry terrain, and reach the stunning Maclaren Glacier, with the chance to ride up onto the ice and witness incredible frozen formations. Evenings are spent at Alpine Creek Lodge, enjoying warm meals and relaxing under the stars, with a chance to see the Northern Lights.

After a good night’s sleep, we’ll fuel up with a hearty Alaskan breakfast. Then it’s back on the snowmobiles for the return ride to the trailhead. This leg of the trip gives you fresh snow to ride and often includes clear views of Denali. The tour wraps up with the van ride back to Willow HQ, arriving around 3:00 p.m.

Cancellation Policy:

Note: Cancellation requests 7-13 days prior to the start of your tour will receive 50% refund less any booking fees or taxes. You may reschedule 1 time for no cost.

•⁠ Cancellation requests less than 7 days prior to the start of your tour or failure to show up will result in no refund or rescheduling option.

•⁠  ⁠Bookings made within the 7 day window prior to the start of a tour are not eligible for refunds or rebooking.

•⁠  ⁠Rescheduling is first come, first served and based entirely on availability.

•⁠  ⁠Rescheduled bookings are not eligible for refund or rescheduling a 2nd time.

•⁠  ⁠Please note that canceled flights or illness are not exceptions to our cancellation policy.

•⁠  ⁠In the event that the tour is canceled by Snowhook Adventure Guides of Alaska due to weather or any other force majeure, the reserving party will receive a complete refund.
