About

Skagway's Gold Rush history comes to life on a narrated tour to the White Pass Summit with stunning mountain views and photo stops. We begin in historic downtown Skagway, where false-front buildings from the 1898 Klondike Gold Rush set the scene.

Then you'll roll out of our little port town and climb the Klondike Highway past the tree line as your guide shares funny and thought‑provoking stories. Running parallel to the original Gold Rush trail, where stampeders once struggled for months to haul supplies, the bus follows a winding road up to the 3,292‑foot White Pass Summit. Gazing out over the sub‑arctic alpine tundra of the Tormented Valley, you'll quietly wonder, "Could I have made this journey?"

Ask questions! • Historic Skagway city highlights and Gold Rush storytelling • Scenic climb past the snow line to the summit of the pass • Photo stops at classic viewpoints along the Klondike Highway • You won't just stare out the window—your guide mixes stories, quiet moments, and photo stops so the time flies without feeling rushed

What's included

What to bring

NO PASSPORT, NO TOUR, NO KIDDING! All tours travel to Canada and back. Passports or approved documentation are required. Please review our requirements at: https://skagway.tours/passport-requirements/

WEATHER NOTE Prepare for rain—we're in a rainforest! Climate changes once we cross into Canada. It's colder at the summit, but temperatures in B.C. and the Yukon can be much warmer. Wearing layers is smart.
