Knik River and Glacier Tour in Palmer
All Ages • 4 Hours
About
Absolutely stunning scenery on the Knik River, close to Palmer, Alaska, and 45 minutes north of Anchorage. Clients will be stunned by the up-close and personal views of the Knik Glacier. If we are lucky, we will potentially see bald eagles and their nest sites, moose, bear, Dahls sheep, & coyotes to name a few! This is our favorite tour to run with a picnic site remote by the glacier. Learn about the local geomorphology and facts about glaciers in the area! Don't miss this tour, your mind will be blown!
Highlights
Our hovercraft literally floats on 20" of air as we glide over land and water with an engineering marvel! We try diligently to find wildlife on our way, and no two tours are run the same, given that we have a 25-mile playground to the Knik Glacier. We make a stop at Wolf Point to observe eagles and sheep. You never know what is going to happen! Some clients have found moose sheds to take home, while others witness the glacier calving from a safe distance! This is an adventure into the wilds of Alaska at its finest in a one-of-a-kind hovercraft! For those who enjoy spooky stories, we have a special surprise in history about the area!
