Highlights
When the weather permits, Denali is absolutely stunning on the Chulitna River glacial outwash plane. We will make stops when wildlife appears at their will and chance. Gold panning on Bear Beach, in the shadow of the Chulitna Bluffs in the background, is very popular for getting out and exploring with your guides. The abundance of bald eagles on the tour, as well as their nests that are regularly occupied, provide amazing photographic moments. Clients have the opportunity with sharp eyes out to find bears, coyotes, porcupines, and moose as well! The narrations on the ride cover local history, geology, geomorphology, gold miner tales, and local ecological facts.
