Sockeye Salmon Fishing Trips

June 15th - July 31st. Up to 5 People.

Meets at Kenai River & Kasilof River

About

Our Sockeye Salmon Season kicks off with our early run on June15th and can last all the way until the end of August. We fish from both Drift Boats and Power Boats and tailor our Fully Guided Sockeye Salmon Fishing Trips to the run timing and size. One day we could be fishing on the Kasilof River, and the next you’ll find us chasing them on the Kenai River. Our trips remain flexible so that we are able to provide our clients with the highest chance of success.

When fishing for Sockeye Salmon, we use two different techniques; the first of them being the very popular technique of “flossing” using a fly rod and fly.

The second technique uses a conventional approach using bobber and jig, when the right conditions present themselves.

More Info

  • We will clean and filet your fish, preparing them for their travel home with you.
  • We always bring water and ice, so pack yourself a nice lunch and we will be good to go!
  • As a general rule, we will fish either the Kasilof River or the Kenai River, and the decision to fish either will be solely based on the fishing conditions (I.e. fishing pressure, run timing & size, river conditions, tides, etc.) Your guide will make the determination the day or two before your trip and confirm meeting locations with you. All meeting locations are relatively close and ample time will be given so that you’re able to make it on time, comfortably.
  • All trips are subject to current Alaska Department of Fish & Game regulations, including Emergency Orders. Your trip might be affected by season closures, but we always have other options and other fish to pursue!
