About the hike and what to expect
Follow a historic railroad bed along the edge of the mighty Matanuska River. This trail used to extend from Palmer to Moose Creek, but eroded significantly this summer on the Moose Creek side. The terrain is mostly level with several short sections of gravel slides to cross. We’ll stay together as a group and hike at a leisurely pace.
