Trip Description:
- This is a forested hike from South Rolly Lake to Red Shirt Lake and back along ancient glacial moraine.
- While Red Shirt Lake Trail never climbs above the forest, on a clear day one can catch glimpses of the Chugach Range through small clearings where the vegetation stays at bay.
We’ll stay together as a group and hike at a leisurely pace. We will stop to identify plants, photograph the views, and take water/snack breaks as needed.
