Trip Description:
This route follows the Eklutna lakeshore trail from the day-use parking lot to Bold Airstrip at the far end of the lake and back Terrain is packed gravel and dirt with small rolling hills and sections of dirt road. A mountain, gravel, or fat bike with good traction is required for this outing. There is no cell service at Eklutna Lake. Our goal is to bike to the far end of Eklutna Lake, but we’ll adjust the turn-around point if necessary.
We’ll stay together as a group and bike at a leisurely pace. We will stop to identify plants, photograph the views, and take water/snack breaks as needed.
