Community Hike: 50ish and older, Rail Trail from Moose Creek on Sept. 16

🥾 Take a scenic stroll along the Matanuska 🏔

Duration 2 hours
Group size Minimum 2, Maximum 10
Meets at Rail Trail (from Moose Creek)

About

About the hike and what to expect: The Rail Trail extends about 7-miles from downtown Palmer to Moose Creek on the outskirts of Sutton. The trail parallels the Matanuska River along the whole route. For this outing, we will explore a portion of the trail from the Moose Creek side. While there isn't significant elevation gain, there are some angled slopes and washouts on this adventure.

This afternoon walk/hike is designed for more 'seasoned' hikers. We'll be moving at a leisurely pace, chatting along the way. Hikers can expect to adventure for about 2 hours - sometimes these events are bit less, sometimes these activities are a bit more. Our objective is rarely a specific destination - but more about enjoying time in the outdoors. .
