About

Join Ute Olsson for a 1-hour walk in the woods. Learn how to identify plants correctly, tell them apart from look-a-likes, identify where and when they grow, and discuss foraging etiquette. We’ll be walking/hiking for about 1 hour.

This bi-weekly walk repeats throughout the summer season at Government Peak Recreation Area.

About the instructor: Ute Riesenkönig Olsson received a Master of Forestry from Duke University and a Master of Science in Ecological Studies from Colorado State University. She taught natural history to all ages at the Eagle River Nature Center for two decades before her retirement.
