Cross Country Ski Chalet Trip (Feb. 12-14, 2026)
2-nights at a ski-in chalet with views of the Alaska Range. All meals + transportation included!
About
Denali View Chalet, situated in the southern foothills of the Alaska Range just 40 miles south of Denali, is a true wilderness lodge with no road access.
Getting to the chalet requires an 8 mile ski-in from Petersville Road through spruce and birch forests along a groomed ski trail. On a clear day, skiers can enjoy views of the Alaska range including Denali, Foraker, and Hunter.
How the trip works:
- Skiers will meet in Palmer and travel to the lodge trailhead in Petersville the morning of February 12.
- At the trailhead, staff from the chalet will take all our gear and transport it to the chalet via snow machine.
- Our group will begin the 9-mile ski towards the chalet.
- Once at the chalet trip participants will be able to enjoy the property and its amenities including a sauna, additional ski trails, cozy cabin and more.
- We will stay 2-nights at the chalet, returning to the trailhead via the ski trail the morning of February 14.
How the lodging works
- Participants traveling solo will be able to book a single bed on the trip. Sleeping is hostel-style with 4 beds (2 bunk and 2 twin) in each room in the chalet.
- Participants traveling with friends will be able to book an entire room (sleeps up to 4 guests).
Trip Fees
- Total trip fees are $589 per person.
- A non-refundable $50 deposit (per person) is taken now in order to secure your reservation.
- The remaining balance owed will be sent via invoice and due by January 12, 2026.

What's included
- Local, Wilderness First Responder-trained lead guide. We will travel with a lead guide and support crew for this trip. We may sprawl during travel, but we’ll use the buddy system to ensure no one is traveling solo while skiing to the chalet.
- Round-trip transportation to/from Palmer
- Gear transportation from the trailhead to the chalet
- Lodging in hostel-style dorms, bedding is also included. Bedding includes: pillows, a twin mattress, sleeping bags, and sleeping bag liners. Guests are welcome to bring their own bag liner if preferred.
- All meals at the lodge. This starts with dinner on Day 1 and ends with lunch on Day 3. Most dietary restrictions can be accommodated; however, please understand the remoteness of the property presents some unique challenges. The chalet knows of everyone's dietary restrictions. We will let you know if we learn of any issues.
