About

For this intro snowshoeing hike, we will help you strap on snowshoes and then float on the snow.

Our class starts with a gear review at the trailhead. What types of snowshoes are there? What additional gear do you need when snowshoeing? Our local guide will review snowshoeing basics and help learners put on their snowshoes.

Following our preliminary chat, we will start on a packed trail, reviewing how to walk in snowshoes on a packed surface. This provides a great opportunity to ensure your equipment is on correctly.

Once we feel comfortable with the gear, we will shift off-trail so hikers can experience floating on the snow. We will snowshoe for approximately 2-3 miles.
