Private Hike: Palmer Hidden Waterfall Adventure
🏔 Get away from the crowds and off the beaten path 🥪 Lunch included! 🏔
About
Join us for a full-day hiking adventure to Eska Falls, one of Palmer’s most scenic and lesser-known waterfall hikes. Just over an hour from Anchorage, this trail in the Talkeetna Mountains offers a true backcountry experience—far from the crowds, rich with alpine tundra, glacial history, and incredible views.
This moderate to challenging hike is about 11 miles round-trip with approximately 2,500 feet of elevation gain. The route includes uneven terrain, old mining roads, and a couple of steep climbs, making it a rewarding journey for active hikers. Your local guide will share stories about the area’s mining past, native plants, and wildlife as you travel toward the cascading falls tucked deep in a glacial valley.
Enjoy a peaceful picnic lunch mid-hike while soaking in panoramic mountain views and the waterfall.
Note: In rare cases, trail conditions or group ability may require a shift to a nearby trail of similar difficulty and scenery.
Please note: this is a full-day hiking adventure. We recommend participants have some hiking experience to complete this trip
