Reindeer Trek

Join us for a hike up the Butte on our private Reindeer Farm family property alongside one of our halter trained reindeer. This hike is not super challenging, but it is uphill and requires hikers to be physically fit enough to hike. This hike is not handicap accessible. This trek is also very dirty! So please dress appropriately. Upon reaching the summit of the trek you will take photos with your reindeer companion and views of the Matanuska Susitna Valley including Pioneer Peak and Knik Glacier. After a short break for photos, you will hike back down with your reindeer. These treks are excellent enrichment and training for our reindeer.

Hikers that want to hike with their own animal must be at least 16 years old. Hikers that want to tag along but do not want to walk their own animal must be at least 8 years old. Maximum 1 Hiker without an animal per 1 Hiker with an animal.
