About the Longshot

The Longshot is a 30 foot Kingfisher powered by two Yamaha 250hp outboards. Streamlined and fuel efficient, the Longshot is the fastest boat in the North Country fleet, cruising around 30 knots. Captain Ben can get you fishing further and faster in comfort and style.

With comfortable seating for 6 anglers the Longshot also has fresh running water at the sink, a heated cabin and marine toilet, so everyone can enjoy a full day on the water. Captain Ben and deckhand Jenae are excited and ready to take you and your party out on the water for an unforgettable fishing adventure!

Born into this business, fishing is what Captain Ben lives and breathes. If you don't already know of his prowess you are sure to learn it while at sea with him. Halibut Fishing Regulations for 2025

• Your limit is 2 halibut per person per day, no annual limit, one of any size and the other 27” or smaller.
• Lower Cook Inlet and Kachemak Bay produces halibut of all sizes.
• Extremely rare that anyone fishing does not get their limit of 2 halibut.
• Typical fish run in the 15-40 lb range but we all have the photos to prove what can really be ready to bite your hook at any given time…so be prepared!
