Enjoy our narrated tour of historic downtown Juneau with experienced guides. Hear the history & colorful local lore of the gold rush days! See the Red Dog Saloon, Capital building. Also included in this tour is the amazing new Breaching Whale Statue and Fountain at Mayor Bill Overstreet Park in Downtown Juneau! Be sure to bring a camera for the stop on Douglas Island's panoramic view of Juneau against the snow-capped mountains and your cruise ship. Spend approximately one hour exploring Mendenhall Glacier's water falls, trails and wildlife. Be sure to stop at the Visitors Center to hear about the majestic blue ice and nature at its best.
The trip lasts approximately 3 hours.
Due to recent federal funding reductions affecting the National Park Service and the US Forest Service, the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center is currently operating on limited hours: 10 AM to 5 PM, Sunday through Friday. The Visitor Center is closed on Saturdays. Visitors are still welcome to enjoy the surrounding trails, scenic views, and available restroom facilities. However, the indoor exhibits and displays will not be accessible during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
