The direct route to Mendenhall Glacier!

The Blue Bus Glacier Express is the best way to get from the downtown Juneau cruise ship terminal to the majestic Mendenhall Glacier! This narrated trip will introduce you to Juneau, our history, and what it is today.

The Glacier Express is a ticketed experience with guaranteed seats. The bus leaves downtown at scheduled times and departs from the Mendenhall Glacier visitor center after 2 hours at the glacier. This experience offers 2 hours at the Glacier area.

Due to recent federal funding reductions affecting the National Park Service and the US Forest Service, the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center is currently operating open: 9 AM to 6 PM. Outside of these hours, visitors are still welcome to enjoy the surrounding trails, scenic views, and available restroom facilities. However, the indoor exhibits and displays will not be accessible during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
