Great way to acquire all the skills needed to rent one of our kayaks. Or feel confident in your own boats paddling Resurrection Bay and similar waters.
What's included
What you will learn:
- Basic paddling strokes
- Basic gear review and care
- Paddle float re-entry
- If a group, learn how to assist each other in a rescue
- Help with a float plan if renting kayaks
- Learn about tides, weather, reading forecasts and packing for overnight and day trips.
What to bring
- A change of clothes
- Warm layers for under the dry suit. Such as long johns, fleece, wool socks, micro puffs. No bulky snow gear, it won't fit under the suit.
- A towel for your hair or shoulders
- Water bottle
