Tonsina Trek to Tap
4 Hour Duration | Best Way to See Tonsina Beach!
About
This trip leaves from Miller's Landing on Lowell Point. Take the water taxi to the far end of Tonsina Point and view the beautiful ghost forest remains of the 1964 Alaskan Earthquake. If you're around later in the summer, you're able to view colorful salmon spawning in Tonsina Creek and eagles lurking nearby, awaiting a tasty treat. Hike back to Miller's Landing, roughly two miles, and enjoy the porch views, a drink, and some snacks.
