Full Day Kasilof River Sockeye Salmon Fishing
All ages welcome • 8 Hours • June/July/August
About
Kasilof River Sockeye Salmon begin returning in late May with the run reaching peak strength from late June to Mid July. We fish the Kasilof using a drift boat and the trip begins just below Tustumena Lake and concludes at the Kasilof River State Recreation Site and the Sterling Highway Bridge. This trip floats though the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and is very scenic. We get out along the way on strategic gravel bars to fish for the sockeye which average 5-8lbs. The limit is three fish per person and this can sometimes be increased to a six fish limit depending on in-season run strength.
