Experience the Beauty of Kachemak Bay!
A 15-min water taxi cruise from Homer, visiting Gull Island seabird rookery, home to 10,000 nesting seabirds with viewing opportunities for puffins, guillemots & kittiwakes, murres and more.
At a nearby beach, you will receive gear & safety orientation and soon you are paddling through the calm waters of Kachemak Bay as you glimpse stunning scenery and wildlife. Sea otters, seals, porpoises, sea lions, and whales are common.
Kachemak Bay is unique with rose-colored rock formations illustrating tectonic forces, home to wildlife and adventure always in change, transformed daily by some of the largest tidal fluctuations in the world.
No experience is necessary! Our double kayaks are stable, safe, roomy and a blast to paddle. Perfect for anyone who has never kayaked before.

4 Hours in duration including water taxi cruse & visiting Gull Island.
Schedule - Morning Half Day Departure is 9:am ~ Returns at 1:pm - Afternoon Half Day Departure is 1:pm ~ Returns at 5:pm

Our guides are biologist, educators and knowledgeable in the biodiversity of Kachemak Bay and the people who live here. And trained in CPR & First-Aid.
We provide a personalized experience with our policy of one guide to six client ratio.
- A Minimum of 2 People is Required to Book a Reservation.

Cancellation
All Trips

- Weather cancellations are made by Alans Water Taxi & Kachemak Bay Adventures staff. n
- We will do our best to reschedule a trip. n
- If this is not possible, all payments are refunded in full. n
- Trips altered by weather are not subject to a refund. n
