About
Our tours are 3 hours long and leave from the docks in Hoonah. Our tour goes beyond a boat ride. We’ll pick you up and drop you off as well as serve you coffee and snacks. We will work to make your experience memorable!
Each tour will be on our custom built catamaran. We offer a small-group experience and can also take out private parties. The knowledge of Captain Joardan Savland ensures you will see whales! Our tour leaves from Hoonah, Alaska and will extend as far as Pleasant Island (16 miles, 25km) to find whales. Along the way we will see a variety of marine-life such as seals, sea otters, sea-lions, and marine birds. We may even see brown bears! _______________
What to Bring
Depending on the weather, you may want to bring warmer clothes, like a sweatshirt and possibly a light rain jacket. The boat will be heated and there is an overhang around the outside to help keep you warm and dry. If you have binoculars you may also want to bring them. We will have a couple pairs on the boat for passenger use. We will provide a light snack and beverages. If you think you’ll want more than that please bring your own food.
Cancellation
If cancelling 1 month prior to the tour date you will be fully refunded. If you cancel after that, you will not receive a refund. Unless your tour is cancelled by the cruise line or Hoonah Whale Tours, then you will be fully refunded.
