About
Our Salmon & Rockfish combo trips are offered only on Wednesdays when halibut fishing is normally closed. However, Homer Halibut Hunters
The ride to our fishing grounds will be anywhere from 1 to 1.5 hours but can be as much as 2 hours. Our goal is to provide you with the best fishing experience you could possibly have! The trip out to the fishing grounds can be quite spectacular as we travel fairly close to the shoreline. It’s not uncommon to spot bears along the shoreline and we often see otters, whales, seals, puffins, eagles, and countless varieties of other birds.
Our crew and deckhand will be helping out the entire time. We’ll bait hooks, teach you how to get the rigs on the bottom, how to identify strikes, when to check bait, and other fishing techniques.
We usually begin our day targeting rockfish first and then switch up to salmon later in the day.
