About

Join us for a half day Pack-Rafting trip down the Anchor River on the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska!

This is a great option for those seeking a new type of adventure.

Pack Rafting is a bit like kayaking, a bit like canoeing, and a bit more like white water rafting. It's fun, easy, and challenging all in one outing that most folks have not done.

The rafts fold up and weigh only 8 pounds, so we can take them, pretty much ANYWHERE!

We will start our outing with an orientation and practice time in our on-site training pond and get you used to handling the packraft.

We will then transition via vehicle to the Anchor River put in point. PackRaft down the 9 mile stretch of river, before taking out after paddling this beautiful waterway.

The Anchor River is generally mild and not deep. You will be asked to disembark your raft occasionally to avoid trees that have fallen into the river. There are some ripples and a couple of Class 1 and Class 2 rapids.

You should be physically fit enough to walk approximately 1 mile in broken sections, have the ability to get in and out of your packraft, and sit and paddle for roughly 3 to 4 hours, with breaks.
