Take off from the fair and go southeast. Up and around Pioneer Peak. From the fair (about 200 feet elevation) we climb to over 6,000 feet to make it around the peak. You get views up the Knik River valley. Can most likely see the glacier in the eastern distance. And mount Susitna (known as the sleeping lady) to the west. Very good chance to see Dall Sheep and black bears.
