About

The dog sled ride and kennel tour is an interactive, hands-on experience. You will get to feel what it’s like to glide along the snow on the runners, as in this tour, you will have the opportunity to drive a tandem dog sled with an experienced musher. You will also have the option to sit in the dog sled.

Included With the Tour

• Meet 20 Alaskan huskies and have your photo taken with your favorite dog
• Get an overview of equipment, including sleds, harnesses, booties, gang lines, and camping gear
• Learn about dog care and nutrition
• Learn about sled dog commands and training
• Practice harnessing the dogs
• Sled dog demo - you get to help hook up the dogs for an exhilarating hands-on experience

More Info

Safety for humans and dogs is our number one priority, and having fun is our second! Participants should be comfortable walking in deep snow and on uneven, slippery surfaces. The dogs are very strong and friendly and do jump when they are excited, so it is especially important to have good balance. Please note: We do have a weight limit of 275 lbs per individual passenger and 400 lbs of combined passenger weight per sled. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
