Kennel tours include introductions to the dogs and an overview of equipment, care, and training. Hear about what it takes to run a racing kennel in rural Alaska!

Included With the Tour

• Meet 20 Alaskan huskies and have your photo taken with your favorite dog
• Get an overview of equipment, including sleds, harnesses, booties, gang lines, and camping gear
• Learn about dog care and nutrition
• Learn about sled dog commands and training
• Practice harnessing the dogs

Safety for humans and dogs is our number one priority, and having fun is our second! Participants should be comfortable walking in deep snow (in the winter) and on uneven, slippery, muddy surfaces. The dogs are very strong and friendly and do jump when they are excited, so it is especially important to have good balance.
