The trip is an overnighter and departs at 7:00am from Whittier. We typically return on the following day between 12:00pm-2pm. We fish around the clock. At midnight we begin fishing again for the second days limit. Please note: This is not really a sleeping trip it is more of a fishing trip.
About
Our objective is to target trophy halibut. We are looking for a fish over 100lbs for every passenger on the boat. This is an extended reach trip targeting area’s such as Middleton Island, Kayak Island, and the outer shelf. The vessel will typically be positioned between 140-165 Nautical miles from Whittier and approximately 60 nautical miles offshore. There is always a Gulf swell of 3-6’ on a good day so people who are susceptible to seasickness should not come on this trip.
Cancellation
RESERVATION POLICY FOR OVERNIGHT TRIPS
nCRAZY RAYS ADVENTURES, LLC requires a 50% deposit in order to hold your reservation. If your trip departure is less than 60 days away, payment is due in full at the time of booking. We will not hold seats on non-deposits. Once a payment has been secured, you are accepting CRAZY RAYS ADVENTURES terms and conditions, reservations, and cancellation policy. CANCELLATION POLICIES
nOur fishing season is very short. To protect our limited season of opportunity to earn a living, we must follow a strict cancellation policy. We cannot predict Mother Nature’s plans therefore our policies do not offer free cancellation for extraordinary circumstances (wildfires, floods, storms of any kind, acts of God, pandemics, viruses, acts of war, terrorism, riots, unexpected flight cancellations) or anything outside the ordinary course of daily life. We strongly encourage ALL guests to purchase travel insurance to protect their financial investment for their Alaskan adventure. There are many plans to choose from, one we recommend is Travel Guard www.travelguard.com
Cancellation made by the client at least 60 days or more in advance, will receive a full refund, less a processing fee of 5% of the total bill. If the cancellation notice does not provide a 60 day notice (this allows our company time to fill the canceled seats) prior to your scheduled charter, your monies are non-refundable. No exceptions. Please call us with anticipated time to reschedule/ cancel your trip. If you need to rebook the trip(s), a 60 day notice is also required.
nFailure to make full payment when due for your trip prior to your departure is considered a CANCELLATION MADE BY YOU. There are NO REFUNDS if this should occur. If you arrive on the day of your fishing departure and decide not to board the boat, there are NO REFUNDS. We will not be held responsible for any other expenses incurred by you associated with your trip if this should occur.
If we cannot make it offshore we will still do the the trip if possible, however we will refund $250.00pp.
nWE RESERVE THE RIGHT
nTo cancel a trip for any reason. Situations sometimes arise, such as inclement weather, or mechanical issues with the boats. If something comes up and we cannot get you out on the water, we will try to first rebook you on a different day or we will refund you your money, less a 3% processing fee. If the trip is cut short due to unforeseen circumstances, we will refund an amount based on the circumstance, less a 3% processing fee. For example, if we get you out there and you fish, then we have mechanical problems, then the refund will be a prorated amount. We will not be held responsible for any other expenses incurred by you associated with your trip. We strive to be very fair in these RARE CIRCUMSTANCES.
FUEL SURCHARGE In the event of inflated fuel prices we reserve the right to add an additional fuel surcharge to your total. If fuel goes over $6.00/gal after taxes, there will be an additional fuel surcharge fee
