We travel to the outer reaches of Prince William Sound and into the Gulf of Alaska most days, when weather permits, to seek out area’s with less fishing pressure resulting in better catches. We specialize in true combo fishing charters and time is allotted every day to specifically target multiple species of Alaskan fish.
This means that we move the boat to different area’s to target these other species such as Lingcod, Rockfish, Pacific Cod, and various species of Salmon.
We do not typically target the 28" Halibut. We try to target Halibut that are above average size so everyone on the boat catches something better than the status quo. It is not normal to catch Halibut under 28" where we target larger Halibut. This requires us to fish differently than other boats you might have been on in the past. We cannot and will not PARTY fish. Party fishing means that you would be fishing for a boat limit of fish and not an individual limit. It is against the law to do so and we do not allow it on our vessels. If you choose to fish with us, the normal routine is that once you catch a keeper size Halibut, you stop fishing for bottom fish until we move to a different location to target other species. Typically, when you fish on a spot there is only so many keeper sized Halibut down there and if you have already caught a keeper and continue to fish on bottom, most likely you will catch another Halibut. However, we will have to release it because of the PARTY fishing rule. Then what happens is somebody on the boat stands a greater chance of going home empty handed. In order to be fair to everyone, we fish like this in ALL of our mixed group trips. If you do not like this idea, then Crazy Rays Adventures, LLC probably isn't the right charter for you. Now, if you would like to do something different than our normal routine, we are definitely up for that, it's more convenient to have all 6 or 12 anglers on the boat of the same party.
Cancellation
RESERVATION POLICY FOR SINGLE DAY TRIP
nCRAZY RAYS ADVENTURES, LLC requires a 50% deposit to hold your reservation. We will not hold seats on non-deposits. Payment is due in full 30 days prior to your trip departure. If your trip departure is less than 30 days away, payment is due in full at the time of booking. Once a payment has been secured, you are accepting CRAZY RAYS ADVENTURES, LLC terms and conditions, reservations, and cancellation policy. Please read thoroughly and feel free to call anytime if you have any questions.
RESERVATION POLICY FOR MULTIPLE BOATS/ DAY POLICY
nCRAZY RAYS ADVENTURES, LLC requires a 50% deposit in order to hold your reservation. If you book 2 or more consecutive days or multiple boats on the same day, payment will be due in full 45 days prior to your trip departure. If your trip departure is less than 45 days away, payment is due in full at the time of booking. For a full refund less a 3% processing fee, we require notice 45 days prior to your trip departure (this allows our company time to fill the canceled seats) If a 45 day notice is not given, there are no refunds. If you need to rebook the trip(s), a 45 day notice is also required.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
nOur fishing season is very short. To protect our limited season of opportunity to earn a living, we must follow a strict cancellation policy. We cannot predict Mother Nature’s plans therefore our policies do not offer free cancellation for extraordinary circumstances such as (wildfires, floods, storms of any kind, acts of God, pandemics, viruses, acts of war, terrorism, riots, cancelled airline flights) or anything outside the ordinary course of daily life. We strongly encourage ALL guests to purchase travel insurance to protect their financial investment for their Alaskan adventure. There are many plans to choose from, one we recommend is Travel Guard www.travelguard.com
Cancellation made by the client at least 30 days or more in advance, will receive a full refund, less a processing fee of 3% of the total bill. If the cancellation notice does not provide a 30 day notice (this allows our company time to fill the canceled seats) prior to your scheduled charter, your monies are non-refundable. No exceptions. Please call us with anticipated time to reschedule/ cancel your trip. If you need to rebook the trip(s), a 30 day notice is also required.
nFailure to make full payment prior to your trip departure is considered a CANCELLATION MADE BY YOU. There are NO REFUNDS if this should occur. If you arrive on the day of your fishing departure and decide not to board the boat, there are NO REFUNDS. We will not be held responsible for any other expenses incurred by you associated with your trip if this should occur.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT
nTo cancel a trip for any reason. Situations sometimes arise, such as inclement weather, or mechanical issues with the boats. If something comes up and we cannot get you out on the water, we will try to first rebook you on a different day or we will refund your money, less a 3% processing fee. If the trip is cut short due to unforeseen circumstances, we will refund an amount based on the circumstance, less a 3% processing fee. For example, if we get you out there and you fish, then we have mechanical problems, then the refund will be a prorated amount. We will not be held responsible for any other expenses incurred by you associated with your trip. We strive to be very fair in these RARE CIRCUMSTANCES.
OTHER POLICIES OF INTEREST • We will do everything we can to fill your request for boat, captain or requested dates, but reserve the right to place you on a different boat within our fleet due to unforeseen circumstances such as a mechanical issue. • Boat Minimums: WE HAVE BOAT MINIMUMS AND RESERVE THE RIGHT TO PLACE YOU ON A DIFFERENT BOAT SHOULD OUR MINIMUMS NOT BE MET.
n• FUEL SURCHARGE: In the event of inflated fuel prices we reserve the right to add an additional fuel surcharge to your total. If fuel goes over $6.00/gal after taxes, there will be an additional fuel surcharge fee
nLEGAL AGREEMENT
nIf clients or guests have any form of legal dispute over the services rendered or not rendered, accidents, injuries, or any other legal matter and it cannot be resolved between both parties agreeably, than the client and company, (Crazy Rays Adventures,LLC), shall handle any legal disputes under the State of Alaska laws and statutes and must be carried out within the Palmer, Alaska recording district. Clients acknowledge that by paying a deposit they have entered into a contract with the company Crazy Rays Adventures,LLC and are bound to these terms set-forth.
