What to bring

Recommended Clothing: Wool or Synthetic Wool is preferred instead of Cotton

  • Base Layers – layering clothing is key! If you tend to get cold, consider wool or synthetic base layers to keep warm.
  • Socks – pack two pairs. Wool is a great option. This can help get a perfect fit for the hip waders you will wear. If you have inserts or orthotics, bring those from your shoes to add in the boots.
  • Sweater – fleece long sleeves work great as a warm layer that is water resistant and breathable.
  • Long Pants – do not wear shorts. Water resistant, quick dry hiking pants are ideal.
  • Insulated Jacket – one that packs down easily is ideal. Puffy coats with synthetic or goose down material works great. This can be a great warm layer under a rain coat as well.
  • Rain Gearwaterproof jacket and pants are a must! You will be sitting at times on damp ground, it often is moist or rainy, and they also help as wind breakers.
  • Hats & Gloves – a light pair of gloves to keep the chill off your fingers are always nice. Both a ball cap and warm hat are good ideas to protect from the cold and or sun.
  • Footwear – you will be removing your shoes and we will fit you for hip waders at check in.

Cancellation

Due to Alaska's short tour season, our guests often book well in advance to secure their seats. To accommodate this demand, we have a strict cancellation policy and strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for all trips. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

n

Full refund if canceled 30 days or more before the scheduled tour date.

n

50% refund for cancellations made between 14 and 30 days prior to the tour date.

n

No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 14 days of the tour date.

n

Please note these policies apply to all cancellations, regardless of the reason. Guests showing signs of illness or injury at check-in will not be permitted to board, and no refund will be issued.

n

In the event of weather or mechanical issues resulting in a tour cancellation, all guests will have the option to rebook based on our schedule availability or receive a full refund. For weather delays, we will provide as much notice as possible and make every effort to proceed once conditions improve, provided our schedule allows. We kindly ask that you keep the entire day of your tour available, as flight times may need to be adjusted due to weather conditions.
