Dog Sled Ride

About

Dog sleds are a part of Alaskan history and there is no other sport more unique to Alaska than dog mushing! This is an enthralling opportunity to speed through our Nature trail and be pulled by some of Alaska's strongest creatures.

During the snowy winter months, guests get a truly authentic taste of dog mushing. Our friendly, experienced guides take you gliding along our serene 1.5 mile trail, in one of our locally hand built traditional freight sleds which holds up to four guests. Sharing the sled with other guests may be necessary. After the ride, you’ll have a chance to take a photo with these amazing dogs or warm up in our visitor’s center.

It is our desire that our guests have the most fulfilling Alaskan experience possible. A sled dog experience will give you the perfect opportunity to get to know these lovable companions and will fill you with their infectious joy to live as you travel through Alaska. This is definitely an unforgettable experience for every nature lover and animal friend.

We start operating this fun tour when there is enough snow on the ground and that is around the second week of November and may last as long as the first or second week of April.
