Explore the Wonders of Kachemak Bay

Join us for an unforgettable adventure through the breathtaking waters of Kachemak Bay! Our journey begins at the Homer Boat Harbor, where we'll set out to explore the stunning coastal scenery and diverse marine life.

Our first stop is Halibut Cove, home to picturesque views and thriving oyster farms. From there, we’ll visit Gull Island, a bustling seabird nesting ground where as many as 20,000 birds— including kittiwakes, cormorants, and tufted puffins—gather at once.

A portion of our trip will take us through Kachemak Bay State Park, offering a glimpse into Alaska’s untouched wilderness. Depending on the day, we may also visit Tutka Bay to explore a local salmon hatchery or another nearby oyster farm.

As we continue along the coast toward Seldovia, keep an eye out for incredible wildlife, including sea otters, seals, porpoises, and even whales!

Once in Seldovia, you’ll have time to discover this charming village at your own pace. Enjoy a meal at one of the local restaurants, or bring a picnic to savor by the water. Stroll along the historic boardwalk, visit the local museum, or stop by the visitor center to learn more about this unique Alaskan community.
