About
Step back in time and experience Alaska as the original pioneers did on the Black Diamond Covered Wagon. Pulled by two majestic draft horses, this guided tour winds through the Alaskan tundra with stunning views of Denali National Park’s Healy Range, offering a relaxing and immersive journey into the wilderness.
Along the way, your guide shares stories about the history of the local mining area, Alaskan folklore, life in the wilderness, as well as the flora, fauna, geology, and geography of Alaska and the rich local valley. Photo opportunities abound, and the scenic trails provide the perfect backdrop for capturing memories of your adventure.
At our remote pavilion, enjoy a hearty, family-style BBQ meal prepared with fresh, local ingredients. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance so we can accommodate your needs. After dining, meet the horses that carried you to this beautiful location, take photos, and then return along the scenic backcountry trails, soaking in even more breathtaking views on the way back.
We provide blankets, but please dress for the weather! We go rain, snow or shine! This tour is perfect for families, friends, or anyone seeking a relaxing yet memorable Alaskan experience, combining history, adventure, and natural beauty into one unforgettable journey.
